With all the widespread anger and protests across the nation stemming from the most recent events of discrimination and police brutality, it’s often easy to stereotype this behavior which is destructive in of itself. Discrimination, social profiling, and or, violence against any of our neighbors must be condemned by all, especially when it involves those we depend on the most for our security and safety.
Though the tragic reality is there are those in law enforcement that display these ugly traits, we in Pacific County should be proud and honored to have some of the best in our local police forces, as well as our county sheriff and deputies that do it right.
It's always appropriate to thank your local officers for their selfless service that allow our liberties, especially in this time where a few bad apples dominate the spotlight.
